Intro to Spin Poi

Spin Poi can be done sitting or standing and is suitable for almost everyone. Inspired by traditional poi, it has been adapted to be a safe and effective exercise, especially for older populations. On top of the usual benefits of exercise, people typically see improvements in grip strength, attention, focus, balance and coordination. This class is suitable for people at any level of ability, fitness and experience. We will start with a series of gentle warm up exercises. Next is learning some basic moves and putting them to music. We finish with a cool down and stretch. For more information on Spin Poi, and to see people playing with poi, go to www.spinpoi.com

Friday 13th November - 11.30am-12.30pm
